Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Mississauga, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and rewards in a fun pet-loving atmosphere. Stand, lift up to 50 lbs, handle animals, and thrive in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Focus

• Greet pet parents, answer questions, prepare online orders, and ensure positive experiences.
• Recommend merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.

Pet Care & Store Operations

• Feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed medications.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed; maintain safety standards.
• Execute price changes, stock products, face shelves, and uphold cleanliness.

Team Support

• Assist across store areas including services; follow policies and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Bring strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, climbing, and animal handling. Depth perception and teamwork essential.
