Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care responsibilities in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Prepare online orders and ensure seamless pick-up.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, handle price changes, stock, face, and recover merchandise.
- Sell products/services/pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick pets and transport to vet if needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet enthusiasts. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/climb, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception required.
