Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet transport if needed.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while ensuring safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across departments as required.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals) essential. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for pet hair/noise preferred.
