Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun pet-loving atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store-owned pets (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate action for sick pets.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while assisting across departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Bring strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals). Passion for pets is key.
Physical Demands
Expect standing, walking, lifting, ladder use, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
