Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Nampa, Idaho, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while driving sales and promoting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Maintain cleanliness, execute price changes, stock and recover merchandise to standards.
- Recommend and sell products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safe environment for associates, pets, parents; assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
