Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, pet care, and services, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, online, phone, and at register; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, ensure safe environment, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/pet hair essential.
