Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions, Treats enrollment, and charity drives.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues immediately.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek passionate individuals with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, standing, climbing). Love for pets is a must!
Physical Demands & Environment
Expect moderate noise, pet hair, wet areas, and animal handling. Frequent lifting, stooping, reaching required.
