Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while upholding our vision. This entry-level role involves sales, pet care, and store maintenance in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet transport.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and recommend merchandise/services.
- Maintain cleanliness, promote events like adoptions, and ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Assist across store areas as needed, following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—passion for pets is key. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and animal handling comfort essential.
