Role Overview

Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide hands-on care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers dynamic variety, from customer interactions to pet habitat maintenance, in a fun, pet-filled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote merchandise, services, and events like adoptions.
• Ensure store cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate response to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
• Support all store areas, follow policies, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work amid pet hair, noise, and live animals. Depth perception and moderate noise tolerance needed.
