Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, pet care, and services in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Upsell merchandise, services, and live pets while fostering a welcoming store atmosphere.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and animal handling in a moderate-noise, pet-filled setting. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays essential.
