Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive the pet parent experience in Newark, Delaware. You'll engage customers, care for live pets, maintain store standards, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment. This entry-level role is perfect for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide daily care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure pet safety, and respond to emergencies like transporting sick pets.
- Support all store areas, including services, while upholding company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, and handling animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
