Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our North Bay store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and the joy of working with pets daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising tasks: price changes, product staging, facing, filling, and recovery to sales floor standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand, climb, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
