Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding customer service, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store operations, from sales to pet health, in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets: feeding, watering, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote events, recommend products/services/live pets, and ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Respond urgently to sick/injured pets and assist across departments including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced environments, handle pressure calmly, and are available evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
