Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in North Olmsted, Ohio, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver outstanding service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and daily joy in a pet-loving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person, phone, register, and online interactions; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Ensure store excellence: clean, face/fill products, stage inventory, support pricing/promos.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety for associates, pets, parents; assist across store including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: stand/walk, lift 50lbs (team lift 100+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception essential; reasonable accommodations available.
