Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Ocean, New Jersey, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care responsibilities in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, support pricing/promotions, stage/sort products, face/fill/recover sales floor.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates/pets/parents; handle sick pets, assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk/lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception required.
