Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Ocoee, Florida, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain an exceptional store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and pathways to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Drive sales by recommending products, services, live pets, and promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, facing/filling products, price changes, and safety protocols.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across all store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle pressure calmly, and are available evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
