Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Orlando, FL store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, drive sales, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and the chance to work with birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals while upholding our vision of exceptional pet experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats, administer vet-directed meds, and respond to health issues
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes/promotions
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; recommend merchandise, services, live pets
- Maintain cleanliness, safety for associates/pets/customers; assist across store areas
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in noisy/wet environments). Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
