Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun pet-loving atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store-owned pets (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events, recommend products/services, and ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Assist across store areas including services, maintaining composure under pressure.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and team-lifting capability needed.
