Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility across evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond to pet health issues by transporting to vets as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility for varied shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand, climb, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
