Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Phoenix, AZ, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver outstanding service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility across evenings, weekends, holidays, and involves physical tasks in a lively pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person, phone, register, and online interactions; prepare seamless online pickups.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Uphold cleanliness, execute price changes, stock and recover merchandise to sales floor standards.
- Sell products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions). Vision for depth perception essential.
