Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Phoenix, AZ, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store pets as vet-directed.
- Stock, face, recover merchandise, and support promotions/price changes.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; ensure safety.
- Respond to sick pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and physical stamina. Pet care experience a plus—no formal degree required.
