As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Phoenix, AZ, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and rewards for those who thrive in dynamic retail settings with animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes, and recover sales floor.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Uphold safety standards, respond to pet health issues, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items essential.
