Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility across evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to work in services and events. Thrive in a dynamic environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pick-up orders.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet transport.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote merchandise/services/pets.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Administer pet medications and respond to emergencies calmly.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift 50-100 lbs, handle pets in wet/hairy environments with moderate-high noise.
Experience & Skills
