Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Poland, Ohio, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and passion for animal lovers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Passion for pets is key.
Physical Demands & Environment
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50-100lbs with team, exposed to pet hair, noise, and live animals. Depth perception required.
