Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility across store operations, from sales to pet health, making a daily impact on pets and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety: maintain cleanliness, respond to sick pets, assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – passion for pets is key. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
