Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, pet care, and services in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and vet transport if needed.
• Execute merchandising: stock products, face shelves, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness.
• Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; assist across store areas as required.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled setting. Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
