Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associate (Retail Sales Associate) engages pet parents, delivers exceptional service, and ensures pet safety and store excellence. From helping with online pickups to caring for live animals, you'll make a daily impact in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, sales, and smooth online order fulfillment.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, pricing updates, and product recovery.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment while ensuring a safe environment.
- Handle emergencies like sick pets and assist across departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – entry-level role! We seek pet lovers with strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in a fast-paced setting with moderate noise and pet hair).
