Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Richmond, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while driving sales and promoting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Maintain cleanliness, execute price changes, stock and recover merchandise to standards.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; assist across store including services.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
