Role Overview
As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Richmond Hill, Ontario store, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences, care for live pets, and keep our store sparkling. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and pathways to leadership. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support our pet community.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide expert pet care: feed/water/clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Maintain merchandising standards: face/fill/recover products, stage new items, handle price changes/promos.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; assist across store including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk extensively, and handle live animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair. Flexibility for varied shifts essential.
