Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote sales, events like adoptions, and ensure pet safety—transport sick pets to vet as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist across departments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Exposed to pet hair, noise, and wet areas.
