Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences across in-person, phone, register, and online channels.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders for seamless pickup.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate response to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication skills, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet areas is common.
