Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Saint John, New Brunswick, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and rewards in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Handle merchandising: face/fill products, stage new inventory, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required. We seek passionate individuals with strong communication, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays). Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
