Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed meds.
- Stock, face, and recover merchandise; handle price changes and online order pickups.
- Sell products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety standards and respond to pet health emergencies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, and work with live animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled settings.
