Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Santa Fe, NM, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while supporting sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, and handle price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety: respond to sick pets, transport to vet, and foster secure environment.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk, handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
