Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional experiences, and uphold our vision for pet care. Share in store maintenance, cleanliness, and direct pet care while supporting sales and services in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards through cleaning, merchandising, product recovery, pricing updates, and safety protocols.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Respond to pet health issues, ensure safe environments, and assist across all store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required for this entry-level role, but pet enthusiasts thrive here. You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a lively store with moderate noise and pet hair.
