Role Overview

As a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate in Scarborough, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets while upholding our vision of exceptional experiences. This entry-level role shares store maintenance, cleanliness, and pet safety responsibilities in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, product facing/filling, weekly price changes, and merchandising per sales floor plans.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical capability to stand, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
