Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Schaumburg, Illinois, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while recommending products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), administer vet-directed meds, and transport sick pets.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
