Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order fulfillment, and sales.
- Provide direct pet care: feeding, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and vet transport if needed.
- Execute merchandising: facing products, price changes, recovery, and new arrivals.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment while ensuring safety standards.
- Support all store areas, including services, with composure under pressure.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals). Passion for pets and customer service is key.
Physical Demands
Expect standing, walking, ladder use, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception required.
