Role Overview
PetSmart's full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers exceptional pet parent experiences, upholds store standards, and provides direct pet care. This entry-level role in Sedona offers flexibility, impact, and a fun environment with live animals, sales, and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person, phone, register, and online interactions; greet, answer questions, prepare orders.
- Manage store pet health: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, respond to illnesses.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote adoption events, Treats enrollment, charities.
- Maintain cleanliness/safety; assist across store including services; follow policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50lbs (team lift 100+), stand/walk/climb, handle animals in moderate noise/wet/hairy conditions. Depth perception essential.
