Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Sherwood Park, Alberta store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and the joy of working with pets daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to pet parents in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle flexible schedules (evenings/weekends/holidays), and meet physical demands: lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, climbing, animal exposure. Depth perception and composure in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments essential.
