Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, sales opportunities, and flexibility in a dynamic retail environment. Located in Spring Hill, TN, you'll contribute to a safe, clean store while promoting services and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service across all channels, greeting pet parents and handling online pickups.
- Manage pet health: feed, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to sick pets.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and recommend items to boost sales.
- Promote adoption events, Treats enrollment, and charity drives while ensuring safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Assist in various store areas, maintain cleanliness, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a passion for pets! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, offer scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), and can lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, climbing, and animal handling in a moderate-noise, pet-filled environment. Depth perception and composure are key.
