Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Spruce Grove, Alberta, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and retail operations in a fun, pet-loving atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock merchandise, and recover sales floor.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/pet hair essential.
