Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our St. Albert store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, development, and the joy of working with pets daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to pet parents in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare and fulfill pick-up orders.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock and face merchandise per sales floor standards.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays), and meet physical demands: lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, climbing, handling animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and composure essential.
