Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associate role blends customer service, pet care, and retail operations. You'll engage pet parents, maintain store standards, and ensure pet safety in a dynamic environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and recover sales floor to company standards.
- Handle emergencies like sick pets by transporting to vets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level friendly with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, climbing, and animal handling. Pet passion preferred; training provided.
