Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; feed, clean, medicate as directed.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events/adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, handle sick pets, and assist across departments including services.
- Maintain cleanliness and recommend products/services to drive sales.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Bring strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, standing/walking). Pet passion a plus.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
