Role Overview

Our full-time Pet Associates drive the pet parent experience in St. Petersburg, FL. You'll engage customers, care for live pets, maintain store standards, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction and customer service in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide daily care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain cleanliness, ensure pet safety, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets while supporting all store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Vision for depth perception and team lifting for heavier items needed.
