Role Overview
The Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) is the heart of our store, delivering outstanding customer service, caring for live pets, and maintaining a clean, safe space. This full-time role offers dynamic responsibilities blending sales, pet care, and operations in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through personalized in-store, phone, online, and pickup interactions.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, habitat cleaning, medication administration, and vet transport if needed.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote products, services, events, and adoptions to boost sales and community engagement.
- Uphold safety standards for associates, pets, and customers while supporting all store functions.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level friendly with no prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals). Passion for pets is a must.
