Role Overview

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Sydney store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold PetSmart's vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility across evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and exposure to live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide pet healthcare for store animals: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish), and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising: face/fill products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
• Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain safety standards, respond to sick pets, and assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and love for pets. Physical requirements: standing, walking, ladder use, lifting 50+ lbs (team lifts over 100 lbs), and handling animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair environment. Flexibility for varied shifts essential.
