Role Overview
As a full-time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Taylorsville, Utah, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage new merchandise, support pricing/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; handle sick pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
Entry-level role welcoming pet lovers. Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility. Physical demands: stand/walk extensively, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
