Role Overview
Our full-time Pet Associates drive positive pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for live pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility across sales floor, pet care, and services, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service in-person, phone, register, and online order fulfillment.
- Manage pet health: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a fast-paced setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
